Haibara comes up behind him, wrapping arms around his middle and leaning into his back. "We could get something to eat, walk around, look at the housing down here." Not that this isn't nice and convenient, but if this is where Nanami likes to really relax, something just for them would be a good idea.

Nanami hangs the clothes in nice even rows and listens to Haibara as he does so. He nods. Tides has so many good places to eat. He hardly discovered all of them before. It would be nice to find somewhere new together. He wants this trip to be theirs, everything about it, even though he's a person of routine. Well, they can go to the bakery he found down here, the one he was leaving when Haibara found him. It has the best bread.

He turns over his shoulder at the last comment. "We relax all the time at home," Nanami says, "I make time for it daily."

"It's not the same. You feel relaxed here in a way that feels different from home." He can't really describe it but he can feel it.

Nanami pauses, hanging up a shirt, and considers it. Despite being under a tremendous amount of water, Nanami feels more at ease than he has in some time. It's true. He hasn't taken as many trips to Tides over the last month, too busy with... everything. It's been a lot lately. Hell, it hasn't been that long since Haibara arrived. Only about two weeks. It feels infinitely longer and also like no time at all.

"I guess," Nanami says, "It's been chaotic lately. And Epiphany..." He shrugs. "It's Epiphany."

"So we should spend more time here." Obviously not a primary residence but he'd rather see Nanami more relaxed than stressed over everything going on, at least when it's possible.

"We can find a place here as well or just try to keep this for visits."

Nanami finishes hanging their clothes and pauses for a moment. There's no rush here, no need to go and go and go. It's the two of them, and if an emergency happens, someone will contact his relic. "Trials permitting, we can try to figure out a schedule. Short trips regularly."

It's different than coming for part of the day. That's fine too, but those are easily perturbed and not kept to the schedule. At least, anymore.

"So weekends here. That would be enough I think. Whatever days that weekend covers." And if there's no crisis obviously.

"I don't think anyone would mind and they can reach us if you're needed back there."

"Come down Friday evening. Return Sunday evening," Nanami thinks out loud. He likes the sound of that. No matter how chaotic the days get, how impossible to impose working hours during the week, it would provide time away from that. Physically. Not that it means he won't help people come weekends. Trials, interpersonal drama, and more can happen anytime. It would be scheduled though, something that is there unless something comes up.

"I like that. Geto is going to come over every or every other Monday to cook and talk things over," Nanami says, "I hope you don't mind. It's best it's just the two of us, but you'll get to come home to a freshly cooked dinner ready to eat."

Geto is only one of the multitude of teenagers in Folkmore, yet that schedule too provides some grounding for him. Reasonable expectations.

"Exactly. You need that time away." Haibara leans up slightly, presses a kiss to the side of his neck.

"And I'll find something to do then."

Nanami smiles, a small smile, but one nonetheless.

"All right. Lets go get food and explore the city. We have the time."

"We do." And once he lets go, he keeps Nanami's hand in his as they head into the city.

"You can show me all your favorite spots first."

They leave the hotel and head down to the streets. There's good food in the area. That's why he chose the hotel.

"Are you sure? I thought it might be nice to explore somewhere new together. I was only down here a few weeks."

"We can do both, new first and then your favorite spots on the way back?"

"That sounds good," Nanami says. That way they can try something new together, but he can still point out his favorites.

"What are you in the mood for? They have almost anything it feels like."

"I'm not that picky as long as the food is good." Which has probably frustrated Nanami in the past but he's pretty easy to please.

Nanami looks over at Haibara wryly. Like he would ever take Haibara to a place with bad food. That narrows it down not at all. It's perfectly fine to be happy with anything, but one can still be in a mood for something. Besides lollipops.

"All right. Well lets each point out anything that looks good," Nanami says. He enjoys walking down the street, so he isn't in too much of a hurry to get somewhere. He'd forgotten how much he really loves Tides. Has he been here more than once in the last two weeks? His normalcy really has been disturbed. The trial up in Never Fade didn't help with that.

"I'm not the picky one, you know that." He meets the look with a grin. "I can find something to eat no matter where we go." Which is basically true and hasn't changed since they were teenagers.

"Do you want Japanese or something international?"

Nanami eats a wide variety of types of food, both within Japanese cuisine and beyond it. He even knows how to cook much of that food, often learning to make dishes he enjoys. He's not picky so much as varied. Though yes, in any given moment, he might have a preference for what he wants to eat. That's normal.

Still he resigns himself to being the one with an opinion. "Japanese. We're relaxing, having a home away from home. That will set the right mood."

For him. Haibara's never been that picky as long as there's a decent menu.

"Sounds good to me. You know the best places already I'm sure."

Nanami shakes his head slightly. "Yes, but we're trying somewhere new tonight. Not to worry, I haven't been to a bad restaurant in Tides. One of the many draws it has."

He lets them simply walk for a while, so as to find a slightly different neighborhood from their hotel. Then he starts paying attention. "Anything else you want to do tonight?"

"Do you want me to answer honestly or not?" Fingers are still entwined with Nanami's as they're walking, Haibara keeping track of their surroundings so he can find his way back if he needs to.

"Of—" Nanami stops himself as he realizes what Haibara must mean. He flushes some, red brightening his cheeks. "Anything else besides that?"

He snorts softly, the sound turning into a laugh. "You're so cute when you blush like that, Kento." Especially given his normal demeanor.

"We could find a place to watch the sunset after dinner." [ ]

Nanami turns away for a moment, but he looks back at Haibara quickly enough. Haibara may as well get to enjoy it if it's already happened. "Even Gojo never manages to get that reaction out of me," Nanami says. The teenage one here in Folkmore or the one he worked with as an adult.

"Tides is closer to the surface right now. It filters through the water if we get a good view all the way up top," Nanami thinks aloud. He nods. "We can get there through the public transit system."

"You were never in love with him and you never really let your guard down around anyone else, do you?" It's quiet but direct, Haibara's hand squeezing his.

"That sounds like a plan then, unless you have more interesting things we can see."
