Date: 2024-03-19 04:24 am (UTC)"Your vision changes, and my eyes change." Inverse of each other, though he knows his case is a common Legend feature. Or bug. It seems like more of a bug than a feature.

Date: 2024-03-19 04:34 am (UTC)"Not that I can't read your mood anyway, but it's just confirmation."
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-19 04:44 am (UTC)"I don't mind you seeing them change," Nanami says. "You see some colors others don't."

Date: 2024-03-19 03:51 pm (UTC)He sips his drink, finished with his meal but not in a rush. Tonight is not a mood for rushing. He can wait a little longer. It's only been a decade coming.

Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-19 11:14 pm (UTC)"Plus, you like seeing them."
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-19 11:17 pm (UTC)"I do. Not that I really need them to know how I make you feel but I do like the confirmation." He smiles briefly.
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-19 11:48 pm (UTC)"I'm ready to leave when you are."
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-19 11:50 pm (UTC)"I've been ready since we got here." Not that he minded the date but Nanami relaxes more when they're alone.
He pushes his chair back, shifts to stand.
"We can go to the bakery first then crepes?"
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-20 01:04 am (UTC)He touches his spoon to the waiter's and leads the way out. He takes Haibara's hand so they're that much more connected as they walk through Tides. "It's not like Tokyo, really, but it is the closest thing to home here."
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-20 01:36 am (UTC)"Not that I didn't like Tokyo, but I think this is better."
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-20 05:37 pm (UTC)If that makes sense. Even when there's plenty wrong with it, home is still home.
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-20 05:40 pm (UTC)"Maybe we can bring some of those elements here, though." It's not like either of them can go back to Tokyo though. At least not the one they came from.
"There are things I miss too, I'm just trying not to think about them too much."
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-23 01:47 am (UTC)Nanami squeezes Haibara's hand as they walk. "A good amount of the time, I try not to think about things I miss either. I get it. With you here though, I know I can handle more of it."
They're close to the bakery.
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-23 01:54 am (UTC)"Most of the people who matter are here already. The rest...they have closure, at least on my end."
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-25 07:54 pm (UTC)He doesn't want to get hung up on who's here and who isn't. Who has closure and doesn't. Nanami is farther along than anyone else he's close with. The students... he's here for them, but he doesn't matter to them like Gojo does. They're close enough to the bakery he lets it go.
He briefly checks out what bread is available. Naturally, Wednesday has the best bread. There's no easy way to get it without disturbing his schedule. It doesn't matter.
"Yu," Nanami begins. He turns and gets on one knee. "You have been my partner from the day we met, always looking out for me both physically and emotionally. My life is richer, happier, and better with you in it. You may be the one who sees the world in color when we're together, but my whole life feels like it has returns to color with you back in it. I love you, and I wish to spend the rest of my life with you.
"Would you marry me?"
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-26 12:29 am (UTC)"Did you really think I'd say anything but yes?" When he finally speaks.
Re: 2/17 -- Proposal in Tides
Date: 2024-03-26 12:32 am (UTC)Because this is a beautiful moment, one they will remember a long time. So please, Yu, please say yes.
